Part 7 — Gapped Text
A long text with six paragraphs removed and one extra distractor. You must place the 6 paragraphs back into the correct gaps.
Strategy
- Read the main text first to follow the argument before looking at the options
- Each paragraph must fit logically with what comes before AND after
- Look for cohesion clues: pronouns (he/she/it/they/this), linking words, and topic continuity
- One paragraph is a distractor — it will fit nowhere
- Re-read the whole text after answering to verify it flows
- Time guide: 15 minutes
