Un email informal tiene un tono relajado y amistoso. Puedes usar contracciones y expresiones coloquiales.

No uses frases formales como “I am writing with regard to...” en un email informal. Mantén un tono natural y cercano.

En emails informales a amigos, no se usa “Dear Mr.” ni títulos formales.

“To inform” suena muy formal; “to tell” es natural en contexto informal.

“Yours sincerely” se usa solo en cartas formales, nunca con amigos.
I hope this email finds you well.

La primera frase es demasiado formal; la segunda es coloquial y común entre amigos.
El español suele usar el mismo nivel de formalidad, pero el inglés distingue claramente:
Hola, ¿qué tal?

Escríbeme pronto.

Evita traducir literalmente del español. Por ejemplo, “Te escribo” no se dice “I write you”, sino I’m writing to you.
