Exam Strategy
Prepare for the DELE A1 with concrete strategies to help you manage your time and answer effectively in each paper.
Reading comprehension
Time: 45 minutes
- Read the questions first to know what information to look for in the text.
- Underline keywords and numbers indicating dates, quantities, or places.
- Quickly discard options containing vocabulary that does not appear in the text.
- Manage your time: dedicate about 15 minutes to each task and review your answers at the end.
Listening comprehension
Time: 20 minutes
- Listen the first time without getting distracted and note only words or ideas you recognize.
- Identify the specific data requested by the questions (numbers, names, places).
- Use contextual clues from the tone and the images accompanying the recording.
- If you are unsure, choose the option that contains the key word you heard.
Written expression and interaction
Time: 60 minutes
- Quickly plan the structure: greeting, required information, and courteous closing.
- Use model phrases you already know for each type of form.
- Check spelling and agreement before handing in the paper.
- Do not exceed what is asked; count words and keep the answer within the limit.
Oral expression and interaction
Time: ~15 minutes
- Practice brief and direct responses to typical personal introduction questions.
- Listen carefully to the interlocutor and use confirmation expressions (e.g., "¿sí?").
- Maintain eye contact and show a positive attitude through gestures and smiling.
- If you don't understand, politely ask them to repeat or clarify the question.
