Present Continuous
Usamos esta estructura para acciones que están ocurriendo AHORA.

Habla ahora — Present Continuous
Responde a las siguientes preguntas en voz alta utilizando la estructura am/is/are + -ING.
1. What are you doing right now?
Ejemplo: I am learning English and studying grammar.
2. Is your colleague working at their computer?
Ejemplo: Yes, he is sending emails to our clients.
3. What are your teammates doing today?
Ejemplo: They are preparing a new project presentation.
Tiempo atmosférico — The Weather
Vocabulario esencial para describir el clima diario.
Soleado Sunny [ˈsʌn.i]
It is sunny and warm today.
Lluvioso Rainy [ˈreɪ.ni]
It is rainy in London.
Frío / Caluroso Cold / Hot
It is very cold in winter.
Ventoso / Nublado Windy / Cloudy
It is cloudy and windy.
Estructura impersonal: Para hablar del tiempo en inglés usamos siempre It is... (It is raining / It is hot).
Preguntas sobre el tiempo — Weather Q&A
Práctica las preguntas y respuestas más frecuentes sobre el clima.
1. "What is the weather like today in Madrid?"
It is sunny and very pleasant.
2. "Is it raining outside right now?"
No, it isn't. It is cloudy but dry.
3. "How is the weather in your hometown in winter?"
It is usually cold and snowy in January.
Preposiciones de lugar — Prepositions of Place
Expresar la ubicación exacta de objetos y personas en la oficina o casa.
En / Dentro In / Inside
The keys are in my bag.
Sobre / Encima On / On top of
The laptop is on the desk.
Debajo Under
The cat is under the table.
Al lado / Detrás Next to / Behind
My office is next to the meeting room.
Regla: Usamos on cuando hay contacto con la superficie (on the wall, on the table). Usamos in para espacios cerrados (in the room, in the car).
Describe la posición — Práctica interactiva
Selecciona la preposición de lugar correcta para cada situación.
1. The documents are ___ the desk. (contacto sobre la mesa)
2. The manager is ___ her private office. (dentro del despacho)

Preposiciones de tiempo — AT, ON, IN
Reglas claras para no confundir las preposiciones temporales.

Excepción importante: Decimos in the morning / in the afternoon / in the evening, PERO at night.

Selecciona la preposición temporal correcta para cada frase.

Formula la pregunta — Question Words
Selecciona la partícula interrogativa adecuada para cada situación.
1. "______ is your manager?" — "She is Ms. Taylor."
2. "______ do you live?" — "I live in Madrid."
3. "______ does the meeting start?" — "At 10:00 AM."
Demostrativos — This, That, These, Those
Distancia (cerca/lejos) y número (singular/plural).

Truco de pronunciación: This suena con 'i' corta y 's' suave; these suena con 'i' larga [ðiːz].
Elige el demostrativo correcto
Selecciona el demostrativo adecuado según distancia y cantidad.
1. ______ laptop here on my desk is brand new. (singular, cerca)
2. Look at ______ building over there across the street! (singular, lejos)
3. ______ documents here in my hand are urgent. (plural, cerca)
Spot the Mistake — Preposiciones y demostrativos
Encuentra la preposición incorrecta usada con el día de la semana.
We

¡Correcto! Con los días de la semana usaremos siempre ON (on Monday, nunca in Monday).
Regla: ON para días y fechas (on Friday, on July 4th). IN para meses y años (in July, in 2026).
Diálogo en pareja
Estudiante A: Pregunta sobre el clima, lo que hace tu amigo/a y dónde están sus cosas.
Estudiante B: Responde usando Present Continuous, demostrativos y preposiciones.
Ejemplo:
A: What's the weather like? What are you doing? Where are your keys?
B: It's sunny. I'm reading a book. My keys are on the table.
Verdadero o falso — Repaso Gramatical
Evalúa si las afirmaciones sobre la gramática inglesa son verdaderas o falsas.
1. Decimos "at 9 o'clock" pero "on Monday".
2. La palabra "this" se usa para objetos en plural que están cerca.
3. Para decir "hace 2 días" en inglés decimos "two days ago".

- 1 oración en Present Continuous
- 1 pregunta con where o what
- 1 demostrativo (this/that/these/those)
- 1 preposición de lugar o tiempo

Errores comunes y consejos
- I am study. I am studying.
- This are my books. These are my books.
- On Monday vs. At Monday ¡solo on!
- Olvidar the con clima: It's sunny (no It's a sunny).
