Repaso Rápido — Was & Were

El pasado simple del verbo To Be no utiliza auxilar did.

Was / Wasn't

Con I, He, She, It: I was happy / He wasn't late.

Were / Weren't

Con You, We, They: We were ready / They weren't home.

Regla: Usamos was/were para estados, emociones, ubicaciones y clima en el pasado.

Repaso — Verbos Regulares en Pasado (-ed)

Formación afirmativa añadiendo la terminación -ed.

Pronunciación: El sonido /ɪd/ solo se aplica tras verbos terminados en /t/ o /d/ (visited, started).

Repaso — Verbos Irregulares Clave

Verbos de alta frecuencia que cambian su raíz por completo.

Go → Went

She went to London.

See → Saw / Buy → Bought

We saw a film & bought bread.

Have → Had / Write → Wrote

I had lunch & wrote a note.

Meet → Met / Read → Read [red]

They met a friend & read a book.

Memo: Recuerda memorizar las parejas de verbos en presente y su correspondiente forma irregular.

Expresiones para situar el momento exacto en el pasado.

Regla: La palabra ago va SIEMPRE después del periodo temporal (three days ago).

Did = auxiliary for questions and negatives in Past Simple.

Question: Did you play football? (verb in base form!)
Negative: I didn't (did not) play football.

Correct: Did she go to school?
Wrong: Did she went to school?

Análisis de la Estructura de una Historia

Las tres partes esenciales de cualquier narrativa corta en pasado.

1. Introducción (Setting)

Cuándo y dónde ocurrió: Last summer I went to Barcelona. The weather was sunny.

2. Desarrollo (Main Events)

Qué hiciste en orden: First, we visited museums. Then, we ate delicious seafood.

3. Conclusión (Ending)

Cómo terminó y tu opinión: Finally, we returned home. It was a fantastic trip!

Consejo: Mantén las frases breves y conecta los eventos con First, Then, After that, Finally.

Spot the Mistake — Errores con Did y Wasn't

Encuentra el auxiliar incorrecto usado con el verbo To Be.

She didn't be at the office yesterday

¡Correcto! El verbo To Be en pasado se niega con wasn't / weren't (nunca didn't be).

Regla: To Be no usa did/didn't. El resto de verbos de acción SÍ usan didn't + verbo base.

Ordena las palabras para formar oraciones coherentes en pasado.

Ejemplo: It was a great experience and we were very happy.

Conectores sencillos para dar fluidez y secuencia temporal a tu escrito.

Consejo: Usa First, Then, After that, Finally para secuenciar las acciones de tu historia.

Tiempo para Escribir — Taller Práctico

Redacta tu historia de 40-50 palabras sobre tu fin de semana o vacaciones recientes.

Plantilla sugerida:

Last [weekend/month] I went to [place]. I was with [person]. The weather was [sunny/cold]. First, we [activity 1]. Then, we [activity 2]. Finally, we [activity 3]. It was [great/fun]!

Revisión final: Comprueba que todos los verbos estén en pasado simple (visited, went, ate, was).
