Prepositions — in, on, at

Preposição	Significado	Exemplo
in	dentro de	The cat is in the box.
on	em cima de (tocando)	The book is on the table.
at	em um local específico	He is at school.

Dica: Pense em "in" como algo contido num espaço fechado, "on" como em uma superfície plana, e "at" como um ponto exato no mapa ou uma instituição.

Dica: "Next to" sempre tem duas palavras! Não diga apenas "next the park".

between	entre (duas coisas)	The bank is between the park and the school.

Dica: Para "between", você geralmente mencionará dois lugares ligados por "and". Ex: between A and B.

B: It is next to the park. (Fica ao lado do parque.)

A: Thank you! And where is the bank? (Obrigado! E onde fica o banco?)

B: The bank is between the pharmacy and the bakery. (O banco fica entre a farmácia e a padaria.)

Onde estão as minhas coisas?

A: Where are my keys? (Onde estão as minhas chaves?)

B: They are on the table. (Estão em cima da mesa.)

A: And where is my phone? (E onde está meu celular?)

B: Your phone is under the book. (Seu celular está embaixo do livro.)
