Past Irregular: fui (IR / SER)

Insight: The verbs ser (to be) and ir (to go) share the exact same forms in the preterite!

Past Irregular: tuve (TENER)

The verb tener (to have) changes to the tuv- stem in the past tense.

= I had

Ayer tuve una comida excelente.

Yesterday I had an excellent meal.

Spot the Mistake

Find and click the incorrect word:

Ella tenió un problema en el aeropuerto.
tuvo is the correct past form of tener (She had a problem...). "tenió" does not exist!

Quick Check — Tuve

The verb hacer (to do/make) changes to the hic- stem in the past tense.
