Cap. 15
Posesivos
mine · yours · his · hers · ours · theirs
Los pronombres posesivos reemplazan completamente al sustantivo. Indican posesión sin necesidad de añadir un nombre después.
mine
de mí — That book is mine.
yours
de ti — Is this yours?
his
de él — That car is his. (igual que adjetivo)
hers
de ella — The blue bag is hers.
ours
de nosotros — That house is ours.
theirs
de ellos — These keys are theirs.
Pronombre (sin sustantivo)
Pronombre sujeto
Adjetivo | Pronombre
you
your book | It is yours.
he
his book | It is his. (misma forma)
she
her book | It is hers.
they
their book | It is theirs.
"His" es igual en ambas formas. No existe el pronombre its — no decimos "It is its" para objetos.
Whose + sustantivo?
Whose book is this?
Respuesta con pronombre
It's mine. / It's hers. / It's theirs.

No confundir: whose = pregunta de posesión. who's = "who is" o "who has".
