¿Qué son las question tags?

Las question tags son preguntas cortas que se añaden al final de una afirmación para buscar confirmación o acuerdo.

Hace frío hoy, ¿verdad?

It's cold today, isn't it?
No llamaste, ¿o sí?

You didn't call, did you?
Regla básica: afirmación positiva → tag negativa / afirmación negativa → tag positiva.

Tags con distintos auxiliares

Ella está lista, ¿no?

Ellos no vienen, ¿verdad?

Te gusta el café, ¿no?

Errores frecuentes por interferencia del español

She is clever, isn't she is?

La tag solo lleva auxiliar + pronombre, nunca el verbo completo.
You went, didn't you went?
→
You went, didn't you?
En pasado simple usamos did, no el verbo en pasado.
They can't swim, can't they?
→
They can't swim, can they?
Afirmación negativa → tag positiva.
I'm late, amn't I?
→
I'm late, aren't I?
Forma especial: I am → aren't I.
