Preterito irregular

Talk about the past with irregular preterite verbs

A1 Grammar

Lesson Goals

The Irregular Preterite Endings

Most irregular verbs add these endings to a special stem:

-e | -iste | -o | -imos | -isteis | -ieron

There are no written accents on these endings.

Example: tener uses the stem tuv-, so tuve, tuviste, tuvo, tuvimos, tuvisteis, tuvieron.
