These terms govern your use of Word Play ("the service"). By creating an account you (or, for a minor, your parent/guardian) agree to them.

1. The service

Word Play is an online language-learning platform offering interactive lessons, exercises, games, exam preparation, and teacher-led private lessons in English, Spanish, and French. Content covers levels A1–C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

2. Accounts and age

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
One account per person; do not share accounts.
Learners aged 16 and over may create an account directly. Learners under 16 need a parent or guardian's verified consent before the account is activated — see the Privacy Policy, Section 8, for how this works.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Share, copy, or redistribute course content outside the platform.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the service.
Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Provide false information on booking or lesson requests.

4. Lesson bookings

Lesson booking requests are confirmed at the teacher's discretion. A confirmed lesson is a commitment; if you need to cancel, please give at least 24 hours' notice via WhatsApp or email. Payment for lessons is agreed separately between you and the teacher and is not processed through this website.

5. Payments and donations

Word Play is currently free to use, supported by optional donations. Donations are processed by an external donation platform under its own terms — Word Play does not handle or store payment card details. If paid subscription tiers are introduced in future, they will be described here, along with the payment processor used, before they become available for purchase.

6. Intellectual property

All course content (texts, exercises, audio, games) and the underlying source code are the intellectual property of Word Play. You may access course content for personal, non-commercial learning purposes only. No part of the service may be copied, scraped, or redistributed without prior written permission.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided on a best-efforts basis. We may update, add, or remove content and features at any time. We aim to give notice of significant changes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Word Play is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Catalunya, Spain, without prejudice to your rights as an EU consumer.
